If we talk about Digital photography then at present there are lots of famous photographers who are doing this job with perfection and unique style. They have taken this industry to a whole new level.
Recently, new photographers are also joining this conquest. They are being called the “beginners”. They are coming up with new ideas and unique digital photography style in this industry.
There are some basic digital photography tips I’ve collected from these famous photographers by taking a survey from them through a photo editing service providing company website known as Clipping Path Experts.
I hope these photography tips will be able to give you the answer to this one simple question — how to be a photographer?
So without further ado Lets start!
Always carry a Camera
The first and foremost rule you need to keep in mind to be a great photographer is to be ready for sudden shots. Time in uncertain, anything can happen any time. Within a split of a second you may miss a great shot, which you could’ve taken if you were carrying your camera. Many masterpieces that have become world famous photographs came from sudden shots. For example, The Hindenburg Disaster was also an unexpected photograph that was clicked by Sam Shere in the year 1937. It achieved lots of awards and accomplishments which wouldn’t have been possible if his camera wasn’t with him.
Light is all that you need
Light always gives your photograph a natural look. Whenever anyone asks me that how to take good pictures? I say only one thing, utilize the light. If you want to take a sharp image with bright colors and natural look then increase the amount of light over the scene and just wait for the magic after taking the photo. Light is king!
Travel with the necessary gears
Gears are very important to take pictures that actually create an impact. There many different types of gear available for photographers in the market. The question is that which gears should you carry? According to me, it depends on which niche are you working on. If you’re working as a product photographer then I prefer gadgets as light diffuser and light boxes to highlight your products. But, if you’re working as a model photographer then, you should carry reflectors, soft boxes and external lights for better clicks.
Avoid Shake
The most common problem every photographer faces is the camera shake. I know most of the people hate this thing because; a small shake while taking a great picture destroys everything. I suggest the use of tripods or a flat table that can help you to place your camera in a stable position that will save your photos from getting destroyed because of camera shake.
Use filters
There are lots of lens filters available in the market that instantly increases the beauty and attractiveness of a photograph. This happens because these filters increase the highlights and contrast of the scene you’re shooting. It also gives them a different soft look. Filters are generally made for photographers who concentrate on taking landscape, nature or wildlife type of photographs. It increases the elegance of the scene.
Backgrounds are important
Background determines the professionalism of the person behind the lens. It shows how the photographer has actually portrayed its subject. It shows the quality of the photograph. Not all the background is suitable for all types of subject. Like an advertisement photograph has a different and energetic background than a portrait or head shot. So, it depends how the photographer uses the background to capture the audiences view as the first thing a viewer notices after watching the subject is the background. This way a person judges the rank of the photographer.
Shutter speed, ISO, Aperture
These are three musketeers of Photography. Shutter speed controls the pace of the lens’s shutter, Aperture controls the opening of the lens and ISO controls the quality of the shot. Together they control the whole photography process. Each and every one of them needs to be used in a controlled amount so that the picture pops up. All you have to do is just practice the ratio between these three camera settings and then you’ll be good to go.
Perspective and angle
Every photographer has his own perspective on the world’s view. But not all types of perspective get adored by the audiences. It needs to be different and attractive in order to satisfy human eyes. Therefore, don’t take photos from the horizontal or vertical angles, change your perspective and take from other different angles to make them look stunning.
Composition
A well composed image always stands out from other images. It shows how much professional the photographer is. A person who can master composition can take any sort of photograph with utter perfection. There is one composition rule that every photographer including you is aware of. It is known as the Rule of thirds. This rule is simple don’t go by its name. You just need to imagine two vertical and two horizontal lines on your camera screen, you will see grids as the lines intersect each other. Just simply place the subject of your image on any point of intersection and then take the photograph. It will then be perfectly composed.
Reflections and Patterns
Another great way to capture a stunning image as a beginner photographer is to use reflections or patterns in your clicks. Take photos of different landscapes or cityscapes by using river or lakes as a mirror. These reflective photographs are highly liked by different types of viewers from all over the world. You can also capture images of unique patterns and art to capture the attention of those viewers who love abstract photography. Macro photography is also helpful for capturing patterns and lines.
Conclusion
Photography has no limits. A photographer is the person who helps us to see the world differently. This photography sector is very much diverse and the types of different photography help a photographer in recognizing his true interest. Beginners can become professional by gaining experience from every click. Be confident and take out your camera and Click!
